Working in partnership with Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service – fire safety team

Plans are afoot to make Westmill Solar Farm into a cooperative venture

Westmill Solar Cooperative – supporting this exciting project by providing PR as part of its marketing strategy as it prepared to go for a share option in its bid to become a cooperatively owned solar farm on the Wiltshire/Oxfordshire border. The share period was six weeks only up to July 31 2012, our involvement was for a three month period, ending on July 31. We secured at least 100 separate items of coverage, on and offline, as well as regional and national coverage. It was hoped that the share offer would raise just over £4m – it actually raised £6m. Here’s what Frank Gordon, project manager, said about us:
Mums in Media (Mellow Media Ltd) provided us with press office services when we needed publicity and media coverage. It was a pleasure working with Fiona and Sue, who really know the regional media landscape. With Mums in Media’s help we secured a successful share offering which was 50% above our original target- a large proportion of people who got involved were from areas targeted for publicity and this shows the impact of the work they provided.

“Fiona’s a great person to do business with. Highly competent and experienced, she’s a real asset to have on your side. Her media networking skills and contacts database allow superb exposure in the South West.”

When Fiona was editor of a magazine I worked with her on content for that magazine. It was my first time and I found her excedingly patient, supportive yet challenging. Fiona has a wonderful manner in the way she questions that makes you think more deeply about how to create interest. I learned a great deal from her on pr and article writing as a result of her empathetic approach to journalism.”
